In 2017, the single Despacito, a mixture of reggaeton with pop music has not just brought fresh interest to reggaeton but also brought more attention to Latin music. The Billboard Top 100 in 2015 had two songs that were mostly Spanish and in 2016 there were four. The Despacito album reached its peak chart-topping success in 2017, 19 songs mainly made in Spanish made it to into the Top 100. The number grew to 41 by 2020. Justin Bieber re-mixed Despacito with a Spanish version in 2017. In the year following, popular artists began working together with reggaeton groups. Drake teamed with Bad Bunny to create MIA (2018), while Madonna collaborated on Medellin along with Maluma (2019). The gradual mainstreaming of reggaeton became a concern for some performers during the year 2020. Rauw alejandro and a younger generation wanted to preserve the style. The musician incorporated electronic dance music and other genres into his songs.
